Meet Grace Orofino
Life is very complex, and it can be easy to get lost when we are being pulled in so many different directions with our family, friends, jobs, and our own inner struggles. In our sessions, I will provide you the space to take a step back and focus on YOU.
My practice is grounded in the belief that you are both worthy of compassion, and responsible for yourself and your impact on others. In our work together, we will start by identifying the patterns in your thoughts, behaviors, and relationships that keep you stuck. Wherever you are in the change process, I vow to meet you where you are at, in terms of what insights you would like to gain and what changes you would like to make.
Whether you are seeking therapy to address an addiction, anxiety, depression, perfectionism, shame, life transitions, issues with self-esteem, rumination, isolating, or problems in your relationships; please know that I am here to help and that you are not alone!
About me:
I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) specialized in the treatment of substance use disorders. My training and employment experiences over the past decade have focused on developing the skills to work with co-occurring disorders, and a wide range of mental health concerns. I am particularly passionate about working with people who are in recovery from addiction, as well as those who are struggling in supporting someone with an addiction.
I often incorporate quotes, affirmations, and metaphors in my work with clients, as I have found these kinds of mantras to be beneficial in helping my clients reduce their reliance on unhelpful coping strategies, enhance interpersonal connection, and reconnect with their values.
For self-care, I enjoy creating art, going on walks with my husband, and spoiling my cats (Loki and Aurora).
